VENICE STREETBALL is the community that brings streetball to Venice, keeping the courts alive and organizing events.
Our Story
We tighten bolts. We fix nets. In the worst playgrounds of Venice.
Since 2019, our mission is simple: keep Venice's basketball courts alive and create a real community of enthusiasts. We don't just play; we take care of our spaces. We tighten bolts on hoops, fix nets, clean courts, and organize tournaments to keep the scene united in the worst playgrounds of Venice.
LAGUNA 3X3
The 3x3 Streetball circuit across the iconic playgrounds of the Venetian Lagoon.
Introducing the 1st edition of the Laguna 3x3 Circuit: a 7-stage qualifying series across Venice, Mestre, Lido, and Giudecca, linked under a unified ranking leading to the grand Finals at Sant'Elena.
Piraghetto, San Giuliano, Ex Liceo Severi, 4 Fontane, Zitelle Giudecca, Santa Marta, and Sant'Elena.
LAGUNA LEAGUE
The Lagoon's season championship: three seasons, three Champions, one final.
Three consecutive 3x3 indoor seasons, from October to May. Each season crowns a Champion and a second, both earn a spot in the May grand finale, on an outdoor court.

Laguna Cup
The best 6 teams of all seasons — the 3 Champions and 3 runners-up of Vol. 1, 2, and 3 — face off in the open-air final, on an outdoor court, to lift the Laguna Cup.
CLEAN&PLAY
When an idea is born from passion and combines vision, feasibility, and collaboration, it cannot help but be a winning formula. The Municipality of Venice discovers and supports spontaneous grassroots initiatives that take care of their territory, as in the case of Venice Streetball.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS
Includes the inspection and assessment of the current state of the basketball courts and necessary maintenance tasks.
Administrative support for project execution.
Site visits, technical surveys, and assessment of critical court issues.
PLANNING & TIMING
Includes the division of tasks by classifying the type of maintenance and assigning responsibilities:
Backboard replacement, damaged parts, asphalt and structural repair.
Surface cleaning, court & line painting, and net replacement.
COMMUNICATION
Communication campaign documenting ongoing progress with before & after highlights.
Institutional communication and coverage across official city channels.
Content creation, photo/video documentation, and social media storytelling.
3X3 TOURNAMENT
Upon completion of each renovated playground, the final phase will feature a streetball tournament celebration.
Administrative support, permits, and venue authorization for tournament hosting.
3x3 tournament organization and returning the playground to the public.
